Direct Entry/Prior Learning Nine-Month Diploma Programs
The Business Management and Human Resource Management diploma programs are designed for students that already have a degree or diploma. These nine-month full-time programs are a quick way to enter the workforce or continue on to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degree program.
These programs recognize the prior learning, training, and experience of the Canadian Forces (Regular or Reservist) and First Responders (Firefighter, Paramedic, Police), and mature students who have a combination of management experience and industry training certificates (but do not have a diploma or degree). BCIT may award credit for courses, programs, or prior learning assessment recognition (PLAR) completed at BCIT or other institutions towards a BCIT credential. However, BCIT policy allows only a maximum of 50 percent of an additional credential’s credits to be awarded through previously earned credits.
Advanced Placement Diploma Programs
BCIT Business + Media offers students with prior post-secondary education the opportunity for advanced placement in a number of full-time and part-time diploma programs. Seats are limited and entry into the advanced placement programs is competitive.
