Through a combination of faculty expertise and the eagerness of students to apply newly learned skills, BCIT is uniquely able to provide consulting solutions for a wide variety of organizations. Projects are carried out in areas such as:

  • marketing research
  • competitive intelligence
  • business planning
  • feasibility studies
  • economic impact studies
  • operations management

In addition to these consulting services to industry, we’re beginning to explore applied research themes that pull together expertise from across all schools at BCIT in order to develop broader solutions for industry challenges. Some of the current applied research themes we’re exploring include:

  • social entrepreneurship
  • enterprise resource management
