Co-op students

Co-op students are available for longer  work terms at 15-33 weeks, full time, paid entry level employment.

  1. Review our available Trades and Technology co-op programs.
  2. Send your job description to the appropriate Co-op Coordinator.
  3. Review applications. The Co-op Office will send you the applications.
  4. Conduct interviews. The Co-op Office can support by scheduling interviews with the students.
  5. Make an offer.

Co-op supports and services:

You are not alone in hiring and supporting a student. BCIT’s Co-op staff will guide you through posting your job, scheduling interviews, and facilitating job offers. Additionally, they are available throughout the work term to help with communication or performance discussions. For Trades Co-op programs, the Centre for Workplace Education will also act as the student’s sponsor for Skilled Trades BC work based training hours.

Part time employment, summer students, new grad, full time positions:

  1. Post your job on Ejobs, and students will send their applications directly to you.

Internships or Practicums

(short term part time or full time work experiences, paid or unpaid)

  1. Review the programs that have Internships or Practicums available:
  2. Click on a program link to see more information about participating and submission details.
  3. If no information is available, contact the Program Head or Department Head with your job posting details.
  4. Students are available for short term part time or full time work experiences, paid or unpaid.

Projects:

Consulting, Industry, or Capstone (individual or a group of students work on a defined industry problem and provide a report or deliverable)
