Burnaby Campus

Certain areas of our facility or programs may be open or closed during different times.

Open gym is available to the public. Please read these guidelines for public access:

From September 1st – May 31st, public drop-in is limited to the hours of 6:00am – 10:00am on weekdays. See Drop-In Program Hours for availability.
From June 1st – August 31st, public drop-in is available anytime we have “open gym” from 6:00am – 7:00pm. See Drop-In Program Hours for availability.
All weekday public drop-ins for the open gym carry a $10.00 charge.
Please remember to call ahead to confirm availability as BCIT students and staff have priority using the gym space.
If at any time the gymnasium is full, Recreation Services staff have the right to refuse entry to public members.

All campuses fitness centres will be closed on Statutory Holidays

The Recreation building at SE16 will be closed on the following dates in 2024:

Victoria Day	Monday, May 20
Canada Day	Monday, July 1
British Columbia Day	Monday, August 5
Labour Day	Monday, September 2
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation	Monday, September 30
Thanksgiving	Monday, October 14
Remembrance Day	Monday, November 11
Holiday Closure	December 24 – January 1 (re-opening January 2)
