About Vancouver
We respectfully acknowledge that the Metro Vancouver area is situated on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish First Nations, and that indigenous peoples have made this area their home for countless generations.
Metro Vancouver is made up of 21 municipalities that are home to around 2.8 million people, making it the 3rd largest metropolitan area in Canada after Toronto and Montreal. The largest of these is the City of Vancouver which is a vibrant and multicultural port city set against the beautiful landscape of the rugged Coast Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean.
Vancouver overflows with diversity and culture. There are more than a dozen neighbourhoods where visitors can enjoy spectacular views and immerse in urban areas which are built with inspirations from cultures all over the world.
