Learning Hub

The Learning Hub is the resource many BCIT Instructors use to post lecture notes, class updates, instructor posted resources, instructor communications, and even quizzes and exams.

myBCIT Student Portal

The myBCIT student portal or myBCIT App allows students to view:

  • Official communications
  • View schedules
  • Check Grades
  • Obtain tax forms
  • Update personal information
  • Pay Tuition

Credit transfer process

Have you transferred from another institution? You may able to use your previous education at BCIT. View the transfer credit database to view if you are eligible to transfer credits.

Accessibility Services

It’s okay to need extra help. BCIT Accessibility Services provides assistance to those students to overcome those students who encounter barriers and limits during their studies. Whether they are visible, invisible, permanent or temporary everyone deserves a level playing field.

Writing Centre

Do you struggle with writing? The writing centre provides free one on one writing support to all BCIT students. The peer tutors can you help with

  • Business, technical and scientific reports
  • Academic writing (essays)
  • Style, format and mechanics
  • Grammar usage

Peer tutoring

Sometimes we all need extra help understanding course concepts. BCIT has peer tutoring services in the learning commons, which is located on the second floor of the library. There are paid one-on-one services or free drop in times.

EhPod

The ehPod is a computer lab with study rooms in the SE14 lower level. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year round.

BCIT mediaworks

MediaWorks

MediaWorks is located in the Library and is a self-serve production facility offering drop-in help with Camtasia, PowerPoint, Photoshop, video editing, and much more. Help and consultation is free, you only pay for materials.

BCIT Bookstore

The biggest question for most new students is “Where is can I get my textbooks and supplies?”. On the Burnaby campus, the bookstore entrance is located outside SE2 beside the pub!

Global Relations

Open up a world of possibilities by studying abroad on a summer field school or study as an exchange student at one of our partner schools around the world. Our Global Relations department can help you gain an international perspective and experience new cultures.

Indigenous Services

BCIT is located on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish Nations of Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish. BCIT Indigenous Services offers many services and resources available for indigenous students including scholarships, Elders in Residence, and a gathering place.

GVBOT – Leaders of Tomorrow Program

The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade Leaders of Tomorrow mentorship program that connects top post-secondary students with leading industry professionals. Candidates go through a competitive and rigorous selection process to experience a year of accelerated professional and personal growth in the following areas: Mentorship, Leadership, Networking, and Volunteerism.

BBOT – Access Career Development

The Burnaby Board of Trade Access Student Career Development program is a unique career development program that provides graduating students with the connections and tools they need to compete in the job market. The program is a year-long dynamic program that is flexible to meet the demands of a busy student schedule.
