Notice effective Monday, November 18th, 2024: Due to the Canada Post strike, Financial Services is temporarily accommodating in-person pick up of cheques.

In-Person Cheque Pick Up Information:

  • Requirement: Please show Photo ID (Student ID or other Government issued ID) to pick up your cheque
  • Location: BCIT Burnaby Campus, Building SW1 – Room 3303
  • Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Email for General Inquiries: siesfin@bcit.ca
  • Please note the following important details before you submit your refund request:

    • Prior to submitting a refund request, ensure you have been withdrawn by Student Information and Enrolment Services.
    • Your account will be reviewed by Financial Services to determine refund eligibility.
    • If you are not eligible for refund, you will be contacted by Financial Services.
    • If you are eligible, refunds take approximately six weeks to process, plus mailing time.
    • Payments received by Flywire will be refunded through Flywire. All other payments will be refunded by cheque and mailed to the address on myBCIT account.
  • Ensure your address is current in your myBCIT account. Include the Unit/Suite #, if applicable. To update or verify your address, please refer to the article Updating myBCIT contact information.
