Student testimonial

“Serving as a GEA not only made a tangible difference in the lives of others, but also helped me grow both personally and professionally. The benefits extended far beyond campus, from refining my communication skills to expanding my networks.”

Amy Chen
GEA 2023-2024
Global Trade and Transportation Management

“I was excited for the opportunity to share my experiences and hopefully encourage other interested students to participate in the global education opportunities offered by BCIT. […] I seized every opportunity to connect with students on campus, including incoming exchange students. These experiences not only allowed me to share my knowledge and insights about study abroad opportunities but also provided valuable opportunities to learn about studying in other countries through conversations with international and exchange students.”

Christina Fung
GEA 2023-2024
Bachelors of Business Administration

“I was surprised by how many students never heard of different exchange programs and field schools that they could participate in. That’s why I felt that it was really important to increase the student’s awareness about education abroad and volunteering as a GEA was a perfect way to do so.”
