Who we are

The BCIT Mathematics Department specializes in applying mathematics; we are a Mathematics Department like no other in the country.  Our department members have degrees in physics, chemistry, computer systems, aerospace, mechanical, biomedical, electrical, civil and quality engineering. The department and its twenty members have been recognized for excellence in teaching, leadership, teamwork and innovation in teaching with technology.  The American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges in conjunction with the U.S. National Science Foundation have ranked the BCIT Mathematics Department in the top 10 schools in North America in the delivery of Technical Mathematics.
