These certificate programs are sub-sets of the CST Diploma and are designed for those:

• With prior post-secondary education (diploma or degree) or related work experience.
• Who can complete 1-2 courses per term.

Please note: each COMP course can require 12-15 hours of total work per week.

Software Development:

• Applied Software Development (ASD)

The following second-level software development associate certificates require ASD or equivalent completion.

  • Advanced .NET Development (AND)
  • Web and Mobile Application Development (WMA)

Please note: due to credit overlap, program approvals will only be given for one of the AJD, AND, or WMA second-level credentials.

Earn a certificate and diploma leading to a degree in applied computer systems entirely part-time, course by course, nights and weekends.

The following laddered credentials start with ACIS, which functions as an exit point only for those with other post-secondary education or related work experience.

1. Applied Computer Information Systems (ACIS) Associate Certificate requires 25 credits and provides an overview of Computing and IT topics.
2. Computer Systems Certificate (CSC) requires 60 credits and includes most ACIS and some ASD courses, depending on the electives chosen. It introduces fundamental aspects of computer systems, providing the foundations for more advanced computer science courses. CSC parallels the first year of the Full-time CST Diploma and is the first half (50%) of the CST/FLEX Diploma.
3. Computer Systems Diploma (CST/FLEX) requires 60 credits of additional computer science coursework on top of the CSC (120 total credits). It parallels the Full-time CST Diploma to provide a comprehensive entry-to practice Computing and IT skill set. The CST Diploma is the foundation for the follow-on BScACS Degree.
4. Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science Degree (BScACS) requires 65 credits of additional degree-level coursework on top of the CST Diploma (185 total credits). This degree is available to CST Diploma graduates and may be completed full-time or part-time.

Please note: it is not possible to complete these part-time credentials with a full-time course load due to prerequisites and scheduling conflicts. If you’d prefer a shorter completion time, please consider a full-time program.
