Industry Training

BCIT’s School of Computing and Academic Studies offers industry training services to help bring out the best in your people. Most training needs can be covered by our existing Part-time Studies courses, alternatively custom training options may be of interest.

Part-time studies (PTS)

BCIT provides the largest offering of Part-time Studies courses in western Canada.

Your training requirements could easily be covered with our cost-effective existing PTS courses offered to the general public at night and on the weekend.

The School of Computing and Academic Studies delivers over 200 individual PTS courses every term in the following areas:

• Computing and Information Technology
• Forensic Investigation
• Communication
• Chemistry
• Liberal Studies
• Math
• Physics

Each PTS course description includes detailed learning outcomes, tuition, and schedule information online. PTS courses also offer credit in BCIT credential programs. We have a three-term starts every year. Registration is open to individual students on a course by course basis.

Custom training services

Many PTS courses may also be adapted for custom delivery, with or without BCIT credit.

The School of Computing and Academic Studies offers custom industry training services from the Chemistry, Communication, Computing, and Forensics departments. Please contact each department for details. Custom training for a group starts at $3,850 per six-hour day for non-credit workshops. The cost of materials, textbooks, customization, and curriculum development are an additional cost. There is a one-day minimum for custom training and a maximum capacity of 20 students in each section.
