Learn to be proficient in the standard MS Office applications and complete COMP 2010 in 6 or 12 weeks.
Building on top of COMP 2010, with an additional 6 weeks:
The following courses are taught to Industry Certification Standards and may prepare students for available Microsoft Certification exams.
Learn expert-level skills in the MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint individual courses.

These non-credit workshops are tailored for those who would like to increase their efficiency in their day-to-day tasks. Participants will gain a working knowledge of applications in just one day.

- COMP 0379 – Macros and VBA with MS Excel
These workshops are non-credit; those wishing to obtain BCIT credit for these courses have the option to write a PLAR exam for an additional fee.

The following six-week accelerated course sections cover the same topics and depth as their twelve-week counterparts.
If you already know how to use MS Windows or MS Office, you may consider upgrading your skills to the latest versions in only 6 weeks.
If you already know some HTML web scripting, you may consider upgrading or fast-tracking your skills in only six weeks.
There is an expectation of attendance, 6 hours in class and significant homework each week.
Students are advised to calculate their workload before registering for any other courses at the same time.

These courses also prepare students to work in dental specialty offices, institutional clinics and dental insurance companies.
We currently receive regular requests from dentists who are eager to hire our graduates.
- COMP 0885 – Dental Office Receptionist, 12 weeks, part-time
- COMP 0285 – Dental Office Computer Systems, 12 weeks, part-time
- COMP 0985 – Dental Office Insurance Billing Systems, 4 weeks, part-time
Take 3, 6 or 9 months to complete these 3 courses – it’s your choice.
These courses are scheduled every term in January, April and September.
Participants must be able to communicate at a BC Grade 12 English level.
