A visitor is any person invited to visit BCIT property by a BCIT employee for the purpose of Institute operations and outreach. Visitor activities can include, but are not limited to consultations, meetings, tours, guest speakers, lectures, etc. Visitors must be under the supervision of BCIT employees, and/or have a BCIT point of contact for their time at the Institute.

It is important that visitors are provided with orientation information about the BCIT sites they are visiting so that they are aware of campus rules, expectations, and safety information.

Contractors hired to perform work activities at the Institute are subject to different requirements, coordinated by a BCIT employee following the Contractor Safety Program. Review Contractor Orientation [PDF] for more information.

If you have been asked to visit BCIT:

  1. Review the applicable orientation guides (PDF documents) for the campuses you will attend.
