The Financial Accounting department is responsible for the preparation of financial reports, year-end supporting schedules, and various government reports, including input for the Public Accounts, the Financial Information Act return, and Statistics Canada reports.

Financial Accounting is also responsible for processing all internal cross charges, account adjustments, and corrections, managing the Institute’s investment activities, preparing deposits, reconciling the Institute bank accounts and administering other various items related to general ledger accounts.

Cross charges

Cross Charge Form – used by departments to transfer funds from one organization code to another or to correct account code distribution.
