Course Overview
In this course, students work in teams to develop an evidence-based ecological restoration project. The content and activities of the courses are structured to support the development of the project, and to deepen students' knowledge, understanding and skills to investigate and resolve problems relevant to ecological restoration at the Master of Science level. Using their research skills, students work on a new restoration project or restoration plan, or on the monitoring and assessment of an existing one, in collaboration with a project partner. The ecological restoration project should include experimental design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Design scientific experiments or restoration plans to answer questions relevant to restoration ecology.
- Organize, analyze, and interpret scientific data and literature.
- Concisely evaluate and communicate scientific and technical information through oral presentations and written reports.
- Critically review, discuss, and comment effectively on the research work of others.
- Design and incorporate working relationships with research partners, Indigenous peoples, other stakeholders, and the public.
