Course Overview
This course introduces students to Intuit's QuickBooks (online) and Sage 300 ERP accounting software as well as an introduction to Data and Analytics using various tools including Excel, Power BI and Tableau. QuickBooks, is typically used by small businesses and not-for-profit entities while Sage 300 ERP is used by larger organizations. Students are introduced to various commonly used features, including transaction entry, file management master record maintenance and reporting features including printing financial statements.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Navigate the principal features and functionality of QuickBooks Online accounting software.
- Perform activities for the major business processes
- Set up and maintain company, customer, vendor and inventory records
- Run and export financial statements and variety of business reports
- Navigate the principal features and functionality of Sage 300 ERP.
- Copy, backup, restore and manage data files
- Use batches to record/modify/post transactions for the major business processes
- Create and maintain vendor and customer master records
- Select settings for batch posting to subsidiary and general ledgers.
- Run financial statements and various business reports.
- Perform processes to extract, transform and load data for analysis
- Develop critical thinking principles to decision-making
- Use various tools including Excel, Power BI and Tableau for visual presentation of analysis results
