What is sponsorship?

Sponsorship refers to a company or agency that agrees to be invoiced for the cost of course materials and/or supplies for a registered student’s course.

BCIT Bookstore is not currently accepting new sponsoring companies or agencies.

Payment by credit card

If you are paying by credit card, it is not a sponsorship, as you will not be invoiced on payment terms. Please go to the BCIT Bookstore main page and order the books online using your credit card. See instructions on how to order online.

Mandatory sponsorship letter

To order course materials for a student and have the sponsoring company/agency invoiced for the cost of the course materials and/or supplies, please submit a letter of authorization from the sponsoring company/agency, signed and printed on company letterhead, indicating:

• Student name
• BCIT student number (A00..)
• Term (e.g. Fall/Winter/Spring and Year)
• Course number(s) (e.g. FMGT 1100)

Please note: A separate letter is required for each student being sponsored, and a new letter must be submitted each term the student requires course materials and/or supplies.

If you are authorizing shipping of course materials, please state this in the body of your letter and include the following student indicating:

• Complete current mailing address
• Email address
• Telephone number

(Shipping within BC: $15.00 + applicable taxes; within Canada: $25.00 + applicable taxes.)

• BCIT will only process sponsorship requests that are completed in full. An invoice will be mailed to the sponsoring company/agency. Once received, invoice payment can be made by cheque or electronic funds transfer payable to the BCIT Bookstore. BCIT Bookstore payment terms for sponsorship invoices are net 30 days.
