BCIT prioritizes student success and well-being, and recognizes the critical role we play in maintaining a positive and healthy learning environment for all students.
In direct support of commitment one of BCIT’s Strategic Plan, to remain a people-focused organization, the Student Well-being and Resilience Framework outlines strategies to promote and support students’ success, well-being, and resilience. This Framework is the product of consultation with multiple stakeholder groups across BCIT as well as careful examination of the critical issues facing our students through the lens of the Eight Dimensions of Well-being.
Consistent with the framework and guidelines for supporting mental health adopted by the Canadian Association of College and University Student Services (CACUSS) and Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), BCIT’s framework addresses strategies for enhancing BCIT’s policies and procedures, training and education, and support services.
