Overview
The Spanish Language and Culture Fundamentals (SLCF) Microcredential is a fast and cost-effective way for business people, students and other travellers to receive a high-quality language training credential that will support the successful international and intercultural transitions and other short-term expat experiences. This Microcredential program builds learners’ capacity for short-term work, study abroad, and internship overseas. The curriculum is tightly focused on developing the essentials these travellers will need to be confident and competent in the common interactions encountered on short-term sojourns.

Ongoing throughout the year.Recommended for success
To be successful in this program, students are recommended to have:
- English 12 or above
- Competency with computers and online learning that includes: operation of applications such as MS Word and Adobe Acrobat, online discussion, internet searching, and navigation
- An Internet connection fast and reliable enough to participate in live seminars
International applicants
This program is available to international applicants who have a valid status in Canada.Apply to program
Formal application to the microcredential is not required. Upon successful completion of the courses, email the program contact with your full name, student number, and mailing address to be issued a microcredential.

Program Details
Program length
The program requires a total of 36 hours.
Students who complete the two required courses will receive a Spanish Language and Culture Fundamentals Microcredential.
Grading
Two courses must be taken in order. The minimum passing grade for each course is 50%.

- Online: The entire program is delivered fully online.
