Overview
The Script Supervision and Continuity for Film and TV Microcredential is tailored for individuals seeking to advance their careers in script supervision. This program comprises 48 in-class hours and is conducted in-person. Students receive comprehensive training and preparation to enter the script supervising field.

If you’ve ever been curious about what’s involved to bring the words on the page up into the film you see or wondered why a script supervisor is also in charge of continuity, this program offers some answers. Whether you are already a film technician or contemplating work in Vancouver’s busy TV/film production industry, learning the skills necessary to become a professional working script supervisor might open a new door for you.

Entrance Requirements
This Microcredential will attract students with little film experience all the way to crew technicians who already work in the industry. Crew technicians in other departments or students new to film can discover an alternative door into the film industry.

This program is available to international applicants who have a valid status in Canada.Apply to program
Formal application to the microcredential is not required. Upon successful completion of the courses, email the program contact with your full name, student number, and mailing address to be issued a microcredential.

The Film and TV industry (IATSE) need well-trained script supervisors to address a current shortage of people qualified for this position. The completion of this microcredential will provide training and preparation to begin work in the script supervising department.
