International applicants
This program is available to international applicants who will complete the program from outside Canada or who currently have a valid status in Canada other than study permit. International applicants accepted into this program are not eligible for a study permit.

Formal application to the microcredential is not required. Upon successful completion of the courses, email the program contact with your full name, student number, and mailing address to be issued a microcredential.

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a badge that attests to the mastery of new acquired skills. Evaluation methods will include a mix of hands-on, practical scenario-based simulations and written exams (multiple-choice, short answers, true/false questions) to evaluate knowledge of learners.

Continue your education
Students in the full-time Computer Information Systems Administration diploma program who complete four of the five microcredential courses can receive credit towards CISA 3370 or CISA 4370 through Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition (PLAR) assessment.

- Instructor’s Bio
Hamid Talebi is an IT engineer with 14 years of experience. He has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Network Security. He has expertise and experience working with FortiGate and Palo Alto Firewalls, and SIEM software such as Qradar IBM, FortiSIEM, Splunk, and ArcSight. Before joining BCIT, Hamid held multiple roles IT security roles with a number of reputable organizations, such as the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity and Bell. Hamidreza has taught Network Security Fundamentals, Enterprise Network Security (FortiGate), Advanced Network Security ( Palo Alto – Splunk – FortiSIEM), and Network Programming with Python.
