Overview
The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA™) program consists of three courses that will prepare you to write the CCNA™ certification exam. Theory is combined with hands-on activities utilizing Cisco routers and switches and content includes networking theory, TCP/IP, IP routing, Ethernet switching, basic network security and WAN concepts.
About the program
The CCNA program is a complete, three-semester program providing instruction that will enable you to design, build and maintain small to medium sized networks. The program features considerable hands-on activities in well-equipped labs consisting of Cisco routers and switches. The program content also includes Wide Area Networking (WAN) concepts.

The Cisco Certified Network Associate program is for individuals seeking careers in IT positions and networking roles.
What grads can do
Upon successful completion of Levels 1-3 of the program, you are prepared to write the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA™) certification exam. Once earned, you will be ready for a career in current and emerging technologies where there is a high demand for qualified applicants. Careers you may pursue include entry level network engineer, help desk technician, network administrator and network support technician.

Entrance Requirements
Register today for BCIT Flexible Learning (formerly Part-time Studies) courses.
BCIT Flexible Learning courses and programs are taught assuming that registrants not only have a BC Grade 12 level of English, but also have proficiency in all four language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
BCIT has several upgrading courses for students who wish to improve their English language skills.

Formal application to the Statement of Completion is not required. Upon successful completion of the courses, email the program contact with your full name, student number, and mailing address to be issued a Statement of Completion. Costs & Supplies
There are no textbook purchases required for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA™) program.
Instead, study materials will be provided through the Cisco Networking Academy.
Students who have completed all three courses in the program may register with Cisco to take the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA™) certification exam. To register for the exam, students must register with Cisco directly and pay a registration fee which varies by country.
You can visit the Vue Pearson website to look up the price of the CCNA certification exam in your country.
