Step 3: Service Fees

The fees charged by ICES are for each individual credential. An individual credential is equal to one partially or fully completed educational program leading to a certificate, diploma or degree. Each completed certificate, diploma or degree is a separate credential, and must be evaluated individually.

On a Comprehensive Report, course work or credit completed (transfer credit) at two or more different institutions and applied (or transferred) towards a single credential is considered to be more than one credential. Course work completed at each institution will be considered as a separate credential and will require the additional Comprehensive credential fee if you choose to include it.

Fees for reports

All fees are in Canadian dollars (CAD).

Basic report

$128 CAD per educational credential. This fee includes:

• Two original evaluation report copies (hard copy only, due to security reasons ICES cannot provide digital access or email the report)
• Standard regular mail postage (not trackable)

Please note: this is the cost per individual credential. Each additional credential is subject to an additional $128 CAD fee.

Comprehensive report

$230 CAD per educational credential. This fee includes:

• Two original evaluation report copies (hard copy only, due to security reasons ICES cannot provide digital access or email the report)
• Standard regular mail postage (not trackable)

Please note: this is the cost per individual credential. Each additional credential is subject to an additional $230 CAD fee.

Upgrade from Basic to Comprehensive

$153 CAD per credential upgrade from a completed Basic report to a Comprehensive report. This fee includes:

• Two original evaluation report copies (hard copy only, due to security reasons ICES cannot provide digital access or email the report)
• Standard regular mail postage (not trackable)

Supplemental report with Comprehensive report

$128 CAD per supplemental report. This fee includes:

• Two original supplemental report copies (hard copy only, due to security reasons ICES cannot provide digital access or email the report)
• Standard regular mail postage (not trackable)

Note: Not all organizations require a supplemental evaluation report. If your organization requires a supplemental report, it will be clearly stated on the organization’s requirement sheet. View a detailed list of organizations and their requirements. Supplemental reports are issued in conjunction with the Comprehensive Report.

Additional report copies

$20 CAD per additional copy of a completed Basic or Comprehensive Report. This fee includes:

• One original evaluation report issued to any recipient (hard copy only, due to security reasons ICES cannot provide digital access or email the report)
• Standard regular mail postage (not trackable)

Cancelled application administration fee

$75 CAD minimum fee that will be charged for a cancelled application

Revision of a completed application

$51 CAD per credential on a completed Basic or Comprehensive evaluation report. Additional documents will be required. Please contact us if you have any further questions. The form can be found here.

Courier delivery

To return your original documents back into your possession and/or to receive your final Basic or Comprehensive report, you can choose regular mail or courier service. At an additional cost, ICES offers courier delivery once the evaluation has been completed. This service is optional but recommended, as regular mail service does not provide tracking. You can select courier service or regular mail when you submit your online application.

Fees

Courier delivery fees:

• Domestic Courier within Canada: $26.00 CAD
• US and International Courier: $75.00 CAD

Restrictions to courier delivery

Restrictions to courier delivery service:

• Courier service is not available in every country. Please refer to our News & Updates page for a comprehensive list of countries where couriers cannot be used.
• Courier deliveries cannot be made to post office box numbers. If your only address is a post office box, you must provide a valid shipping address if you wish to use courier.
• You can choose for ICES to send your final evaluation report by regular mail or by courier delivery service. There is no tracking for regular mail. Courier delivery services are recommended, as you are able to track your deliveries.
• If there’s a problem with your mailing address and the courier company is unable to deliver your package, the courier company may elect to abandon the package and deem it undeliverable. Any additional costs associated with re-sending are the responsibility of the applicant.

Non-sufficient funds

If ICES received a cheque that does not cash due to non-sufficient funds, an additional fee of $50 will be charged.  The evaluation will not be released until all fees have been paid in full.

Payment

All fees must be paid in Canadian dollars (CAD). Payment must be made to International Credential Evaluation Service.

Online

Our online application portal accepts payment by credit card only. It will not accept debit cards.

By mail

Payment must be included with all applications sent by mail or courier. Do not send an application without payment as it will be returned to you. Payment by mail is accepted by credit card, bank draft, money-order, or certified cheque. Payments must be made out to International Credential Evaluation Service.

In-person

At this time, in person service is suspended. Student Enrolment & Information Services is not accepting applications or processing payments. A drop box is the alternate option should you choose to come in person. We encourage all applicants to apply online or by mail.
