Student loans are a form of government-funded repayable financial assistance intended to assist students in financing their education. Many full- and part-time programs at BCIT are eligible for student loans; confirm program eligibility, check course load criteria, and find out how to apply for funding.
Note: that if you are a Canadian resident from outside BC, you will need to apply for funding through your province of residence.
BC residents
Full-time funding
Full-time student loans and grants may be available to you if you are enrolled in an eligible full-time program at BCIT. Check out the eligibility and application details.
Part-time funding
If you are declared into a Flexible Learning program at BCIT and taking courses on a part-time basis (20-59% course load), you may be eligible for part-time funding.
Flexible Learning courses, full-time load
Check the course load criteria to find out if your Flexible Learning course load is enough to qualify for full-time funding (60% course load or greater).
Other Canadian provinces
If you are a non-BC resident from another Canadian province, please contact the financial aid office for your home province.
