Marine Programs - Online Info Session

October 23 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm PDT

Marine training at the BCIT Marine Campus combines classroom learning with hands on experience to work aboard vessels ranging from tankers, ferries, bulk carriers, tugs, cargo and offshore supply vessels. If you have always wondered what it would be like to work with these types of ships, join us to find out more. The info session will start promptly at 6:00pm with a presentation and conclude with a question and answer period with program staff and covers three programs:

Bridge Watch Rating Enhanced (E-BWR)

Receive entry-level knowledge in seamanship to prepare you for a career at sea working on deck. Women and Indigenous learners are eligible for fully subsidized tuition for the E-BWR program

Marine Engineering Diploma

Get on the path to become the Chief Engineer of the world’s largest ships. Learn to operate and maintain ships propulsion plants and auxiliary systems.

Nautical Sciences Diploma

Become the Captain of your own ship. Studies focus on navigation, seamanship, cargo operations, and ship safety.
