Course Overview
Embark on a journey through the intricate world of wedding planning. This immersive course explores every facet of the wedding planning process, from initial consultations to event postmortems, including all the checklists and resources it takes to become a successful Planner. Students will explore the significance of ceremonies and cultural traditions, master the art of budget management and vendor negotiation, and learn the importance of social media in the modern wedding industry.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Define terminology used in the wedding planning field.
- Work with clients to conceptualize and execute wedding design.
- Determine the steps required to plan wedding events.
- Produce detailed schedules and checklists for wedding events.
- Create a budget for a wedding and all associated events.
- Recommend appropriate purveyors for a wedding and negotiate contracts.
- Plan and coordinate food service, including menu selection.
- Explore diverse cultural wedding traditions and customs.
- Determine the role and career of a wedding planner.
