Course Overview
The course provides a general overview of the water distribution system with discussion on how to operate, maintain, repair, and install water system components. Although the focus is on receiving treated water from the water treatment plant and then distributing it through the network, the course includes source intake from surface and well water. Each component in the distribution network is described and operational procedures provided. We also discuss maintenance and repair procedures to ensure the distribution system continues to function at full capacity. Finally, water sampling and testing are explored to ensure safety and the quality of the delivered water to customers.
