Course Overview

This knowledge is increasingly relevant in municipal planning and in the assessment and enhancement of natural capital and infrastructure. i-Tree software provides economic values for ecological services such as for pollution mitigation, avoided runoff, and carbon sequestration, and provides valuable information about pest and storm water risk management. This course includes an understanding of the basics of urban forest assessment, an overview of i-Tree applications and their function and features. The Urban Forest Assessment course is applicable for students studying ecological restoration, forestry, resource management, arborists, planners, consultants, stewardship groups and teachers.
