Timber Volume Quantification using Cloud-based Image Processing XRPA 1400

Intro to Forest Health Quantification Using RPAS Course

International Fees

International fees are typically 3.12 times the domestic tuition. Exact cost will be calculated upon completion of registration.

Course details

This course starts with a thorough overview of how digital surface and terrain models (DSM and DTM) are created and the different options for establishing relative and absolute accuracy using camera calibration and ground control points (GCPs). Based on an accurate DSM, specific techniques for estimating timber volume are presented and discussed. The final steps are to present the means which these digital timber volume estimates can be verified in the field.

Prerequisite(s)

  • No prerequisites are required for this course.
