​This course explores the key requirements of a quality management system using the ISO 9000 International Standards for quality management and quality assurance systems. The series consists of ISO 9000, 9001 and 9004. In addition, the course will define and explain the current ISO 9001:2015 standard with emphasis on the high-level clauses of Annex SL. Topics include the purpose and requirements of the ISO Standards, assessment of existing company operations relating to the standards, and steps required for implementation and registration to the ISO 9001 Standard.

  • Comprehend the relationship between the series of ISO 9000 standards.
  • Describe the objective of ISO 9000 and its relation to Quality Management.
  • Define the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard.
  • Interpret the common elements of implementation and the assessment process.
  • Recognise the key enhancements introduced through ISO 9001:2015 vs earlier versions of the standard.
  • Understand how risk-based thinking can be applied to a Quality Management System.
  • Recognise the Annex structured layer framework and its application.
  • Preparation steps for an ISO 9001:2015 internal or external audit.
  • Utilize the ISO 9000 Standards for Quality Improvement.
