Course details

​An overview of the core professional functions and concepts of outbound mobility in international education. Best practices and foundational considerations for planning and organizing international mobility in higher education will be explored through interactive activities, group discussions, and assignments.This introductory course will develop practitioner's competencies to support the effective planning and organizing of outbound mobility for students and faculty. ​

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Describe core professional functions of outbound mobility practitioner
  • Summarize key concepts in outbound mobility for students and faculty.
  • Explain foundational considerations for outbound mobility initiatives
  • Recognize current best practices and emerging trends in outbound mobility.
  • Apply concepts and considerations to day-to-day work, or future work, in supporting outbound mobility.​
