Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Research and source base building finishes for the interior built environments focusing on ecological and sustainable methods and materials.
- Identify the characteristics and suitability of various base building finishes and installation methods.
- Appropriately document basic specifications for materials.
- Analyse existing material installations.
- Identify characteristics of materials in terms of Life Cycle Analysis (LCA).
- Determine appropriate material selection for specific functional consideration and usage.
- Estimate quantities of materials for budget pricing.
