Course details

Provides both the theory and hands-on training required to conduct hearing tests on noise-exposed workers in industry, counsel workers on the results of their hearing tests and advise workers about hearing protection. After successfully completing this four-day classroom course, qualified students are eligible to be authorized by the BC Workers' Compensation Board as an industrial audiometric technician in BC.​

  3. THIS COURSE IS NOT ONLINE. Location: BCIT BURNABY Campus. This is an intensive 4-day course held June 10 - 13, 2024 from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Monday - Thursday). Course materials are included and will be handed out in class. RECOMMENDED PRE-READING: "Sound Advice - a Guide to Hearing Conservation Programs" at: www.worksafebc.com/en/resources/health-safety/books-guides/sound-advice-a-guide-to-hearing-conservation-programs. IMPORTANT: Expect to spend a few additional hours each evening on course work.
