Course Overview
Trains those working with hot water heating to properly design a residential hot water heating system to meet the guidelines established by the Residential Hot Water Heating Association of BC. After successful completion of the Certification Exam, students can, for a fee, register with the TECA as being Certified in Hydronic Systems Design. Passing grade is 70%.

- Student should be working with residential hot water heating systems or a related field.

- Calculate heat loss.
- Design a radiant panel.
- Size and select circulation pumps.
- Size and select expansion tanks
- Size and select boilers.
- Describe system components.
- Describe the procedure for system commissioning.
- Explain the RHWHA Guidelines for the design and installation of hot water heating systems.
