Course Overview
This course provides leaders with practical strategies and processes to develop a high performance work environment that values people. Each module will explore how to use human resource systems to effectively identify and address issues in the workplace. The course also addresses ways in which a technical manager may examine and enhance his or her own career. Time will be spent examining the relationship between the organization’s human resources needs and the ways in which these needs can be met through: HR Planning, Job Analysis and Design, Selection and Recruitment, Career Planning and Development, Performance Evaluation,Training and Development.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the candidate will be able to:
- Design and integrate the various types of Human Resource systems and processes.
- Analyze and evaluate the various elements to be considered in the interaction between the organization’s Human Resources needs.
- Create fair and equitably selection and recruitment processes.
- Design and implement a training, professional development and career management program.
- Synthesize the principles and processes of performance management and appraisal as a function of an organization.
Student evaluations will be based on the learning outcomes achieved in the course.
