Course details

This course is intended for planning, design and construction professionals such as biologists, landscape architects, engineers, geoscientists, planners, contractors and others with expertise and experience in the application of Green Shores principles, who are interested in proving their proficiency. Those who are successful and pass this portfolio-based course will be listed on the Stewardship Centre for British Columbia (SCBC) website as passing BCIT’s Green Shores Level 3 and meeting SCBC’s requirements to be acknowledged as a Green Shores professional. This course will not gauge your experience and proficiency in your chosen profession. Rather, it will gauge your ability to apply the Green Shores credit and rating systems within the context of your profession. This course will lead you through the creation of your Green Shores Professional Proficiency portfolio. You will be asked to create three elements a portfolio that shows your familiarity and skill with the Green Shore Credit and Rating System. You will also need to pass an exam. Once you have successfully completed this portfolio and the exam you will be eligible to be listed with the Stewardship Centre for BC as an SCBC Green Shores Recognized Professional.
