​This course covers the updates to the Safety Standards Act, the Safety Standards General Regulation, the Electrical Safety Regulation and the Directives. This course also includes a review of all revisions to the BC Electrical Code based on the 2021 Canadian Electrical Code - C22.1:21, Part I, Twenty-five Edition, Safety Standard for Electrical Installations. This course is required for electricians renewing their FSRs certificates of qualification.​

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Review the changes to the Electrical Safety Regulations (ESR) and the implementation of Master FSR renewal training program.
  • Review the one proposed amendment to the Canadian Electrical Code, 25th edition. Rule (66-456 7) and 8)).
  • Review and understand the key changes in the 2021 edition of the Canadian Electrical Code 25th edition, Part I in comparison to the previous 2018 edition.
  • Complete and review the 2021 Canadian Electrical code quiz.
