Course Overview
Students will learn advanced concepts in digital forensic analysis and investigation. The course will cover the investigation and response process from the focus of a computer forensics analyst. Topics include analysis of evidence from computers, networks, and mobile devices; event reconstruction; interpretation of digit evidence; and anti-forensic techniques, including encryption, steganography and rootkit hiding. Throughout this course, extensive hands-on exercises provide the students with practical experience in performing computer forensic investigation in the real world.

Upon successful compleltion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Collect and analyze network-based forensic evidence.
- Recover data and deleted files from a variety of digital devices.
- Apply Digital Forensic techniques to investigate network compromise and malware activity.
- Discover and analyse information hidden my anti-forensic techniques
- Apply legal principles correctly in complex digital investigations.
