Course Overview
Students will gain a deeper level of understanding of planning project work, and the application of the control processes, to manage and track progress towards the successful completion of project objectives. The ability to construct realistic schedules and justify project costs is imperative for construction managers in today's competitive market. With the aid of industry management software (MS Project), students' will generate scopes of work and specific task resourcing with a focus on the critical path. The control processes, tracking, gathering and analyzing project data, are some of the skills incorporated that will enable future managers' to keep costs and schedules on track and mitigate potential risks.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify the scopes of work and the related divisions in industry standard specifications.
- Explain the scopes of work and the transition, interconnections, from task to task.
- Demonstrate the relationship between scheduling tasks and assigning resources in Gantt charts.
- Analyze project schedules, comparing scopes of work, tasks, resource assignments and cost tracking.
- Evaluate project schedules to determine key milestones, current status, opportunities and potential risks.
- Generate comprehensive project schedules to provide the project team with accurate baselines used to track project control measures.
