- Explain the principles and operation of AECG recorders (analog, digital, intermittent), scanning equipment and event monitors.
- Explain the principles of signal average ECG and Heart Rate Variability (HRV).
- Identify correct ambulatory monitor settings and electrode placement.
- Correlate and report patient diary entries related to symptoms and ambulatory ECG findings
- Identify ambulatory ECG abnormalities in relation to ischemia and cardiac drugs.
- Produce accurate AECG report formation through various case studies.
- Accurately review and analyze selected case studies by removing artifact, reviewing data, documenting appropriate strips for abnormalities in HR, ST, QT, HRV, rhythm, conduction and cardiac device function.
