Course details
To continue the development of the required skills for the preparation of working drawings, this intermediate level course examines further the capabilities of AutoCAD for 2D drawings. It introduces more efficient commands and workflows for various tasks to enhance CAD productivity. The course explores commands and techniques for drawing, editing, and annotating. Topics include CAD standards, block libraries, dynamic blocks, attributed blocks, multi-view drawings, annotative scaling, fields, tables, external references and electronic output. The expectation is that students have current training/experience equivalent to introductory level AutoCAD. AICO 1000 AutoCAD 1 is recommended. This course may be eligible for students to receive funding through the StrongerBC Future Skills Grant at www.bcit.ca/financial-aid/strongerbc-future-skills-grant. Students register themselves into the course, then apply for the StrongerBC Future Skills Grant to cover payment, if eligible.
