Course details

This course will cover fundamental concepts, theory, methodologies, and techniques of DevOps. Students will learn principles of DevOps Software Development Lifecycle, and use various DevOps tools and frameworks designed to support real life deployment.

  • Acceptance into the Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science (BScACS) program

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Explain principles and practices of DevOps.
  • Discuss the benefits of deploying DevOps by organizations.
  • Explain the potential impact of DevOps in day-to-day operations management IT environments.
  • Apply the key concepts of the DevOps to practical situations.
  • Explain the reference architecture of DevOps.
  • Discuss DevOps capabilities and suggest adoption paths.
  • Implement steps for building a DevOps environment.
  • Explain the relationship between DevOps, and other frameworks including Agile, Lean and service management.
  • Use various DevOps tools to support real life deployment.
  • Optimize security for DevOps.
