Learning Outcomes

As a healthcare practitioner, you are expected to follow professional standards of practice throughout all SN programs and courses. In this course, you will have opportunities to use the processes of critical thinking, systematic inquiry, communication, collaboration, leadership, professionalism, and clinical decision-making. Upon successful completion of this course, you should be able to:

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to complete the comprehensive assessment documentation systematically and evaluate the data.
• Apply comprehensive assessment data to the Oxygen Supply and Demand framework to formulate conclusions.
• Integrate comprehensive assessment data for the selected acute illness condition to support Oxygen Supply and Demand framework determinant conclusions.
• Discuss the interrelationships between the various Oxygen Supply and Demand determinants.
• Apply Gillespie-Paterson’s Situated Clinical Decision-Making framework to make appropriate clinical interventions for the provision of care of a patient for selected acute illness conditions.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to facilitate optimal care and patient outcome for the selected acute illness condition.
• Demonstrate how the group collectively met the Key Areas of Practice clinical indicators.
• Utilize self-reflection on their practice to promote professional growth.
