Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Discuss safety and environmental concerns in engineering design.
- Analyse and study the interaction of assembly components.
- Implement tolerance analysis/stackup seamlessly in engineering design process.
- Simulate mechanical mechanisms and output the numerical data of important kinematic and dynamic design parameters.
- Apply a wide variety of static and dynamic loads to accurately evaluate the design performance.
- Determine the size of the actuators required for mechanical mechanisms under static and dynamic loads.
- Optimize design alternatives and determine the best design option by comparing measurable design parameters.
Effective as of Fall 2010
