Privacy Notice

In order to produce a BCIT Student ID Card and to confirm your identity as a British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) student, your photograph will be taken and will be combined with your name and student number.

The personal information collected to produce the BCIT Student ID Card is collected under the authority of s.26 (c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). The information will be used by BCIT for the administration of the BCIT Student ID Card program and for the related purpose of administering or implementing academic and non-academic services and programs. All photographs used for the BCIT Student ID Card may be used by BCIT faculties, staff and authorized service providers to identify you as a BCIT student.
