Registering for apprentice training

  1. Check your eligibility: Applicants must be an active registered apprentice with SkilledTradesBC and be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a Convention refugee or protected person of Canada.
  2. Choose your training date(s): Consult the training schedule below and select the intake date(s) that works for you and your employer. Plan to space out each level of your technical training by at least eight months. Apprentices must complete each level of apprentice training in sequential order. Apprentices attending high school sites must complete a Criminal Record Check prior to registration.
  3. Complete your registration: After selecting your preferred intake date(s), submit your Training Request Form on the next page. Apprentice Services processes requests on a first-come, first-served basis. Submitting your request does not guarantee your registration in the intake(s).
  4. Wait for Confirmation: Apprentice Services will contact you to confirm your request.
