An official transcript is a legal document that includes all academic history at BCIT and carries the Registrar’s signature.
Before submitting a transcript request
Attended BCIT prior to 1994:
Email records@bcit.ca with your name, SIN and birth date for further instructions if you have not already.

- Update your personal information. If your name has been legally changed, you will need to submit Change of Name Form.
- Check unofficial transcript to ensure grades for any recently completed courses have been recorded and awarded status is current.

Processing, delivery, and cost
Note: Regular mail delivery is unavailable during Canada Post strike, with no confirmed timeline for resumption. To avoid delays, we recommend using pick-up or electronic delivery services. If selecting electronic delivery, please ensure the receiving institution or organization accepts transcripts delivered by email.

Delivery Details
Mail Out (Currently Unavailable): BCIT is unable to track or expedite mailed transcripts. Once mail leaves the premises, BCIT is not responsible for lost, delayed, or misplaced mail.
Electronic Delivery: Enter the recipient’s email in the “Issue To” line of the order form. No physical copy will be sent if an email is provided. You’ll receive an email confirmation once the transcript has been sent.
Before choosing electronic delivery, please verify with the recipient institution whether they accept encrypted PDF transcripts, as some institutions may not.
Student Pick-up: After completing your order, email Records@bcit.ca with your BCIT ID number and the subject line “Transcript – Student Pick-up”. Once ready, you’ll be notified for pick-up at Student Information & Enrolment Services (SIES), Burnaby Campus, Building SW1, 1st Floor.
