Dual credit programs are the post-secondary equivalent of the whole “two birds, one stone” approach. School districts that offer dual credit programs allow you to take BCIT trades programs while still in high school. When you complete the program you receive a BCIT credential as well as credits towards your Dogwood and credit for apprenticeship training. For information about dual credit opportunities in your district, talk to your high school career transition coordinator or counselor.
