Course Overview
Fundamentally business analysis creates value for the organization. To achieve this, the organization must be clear on the business' needs. This course provides you with frameworks and approaches to define the necessary business change and assess both the value and risk associated. This course also covers the development of a work plan that identifies the approach, deliverables, activities, and schedule required to accomplish this change. You will learn these topics through lectures, exercises and discussions, case studies and/or scenario-based problem solving, both individually and working in teams.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Apply methods and tools to:
- Assess the current state of an organization including identifying the key problem or opportunity
- Identify key stakeholders to define the organizational need
- Define the desired future state including goals and objectives that satisfy the business need
- Define the change strategy or highest value approach to achieving the organizations goals and objectives
- Identify and assess the risks associated with delivering value
- Create a Business Case and illustrate how this supports a Project Charter
- Describe the components of a work plan and the function of each component including:
- Approach, deliverables, activities and roles, stakeholder analysis and engagement, communication, and information management, governance, and decision making
