Curriculum
BCIT offers a range of programs, courses, and resources focused on meeting the challenge of sustainability. All members of the BCIT community can access resources including a sustainability policy bank, publications, classroom materials and more through BCIT’s membership in the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.
Delivery
How courses are taught impacts students, businesses, our communities, and the environment. There are many examples of sustainability-informed educational delivery at BCIT. From changing the materials used to build a project to finding solutions to a personal or corporate challenge, sustainability-informed educational delivery is part of BCIT’s commitment to serve the success of learners and employers.
Research
BCIT research focuses on activities with industrial and commercial relevance. The BCIT Technology Centre performs grant-funded and industry-sponsored applied research that solves industry challenges. Several Schools at BCIT are also engaged in applied research aimed at advancing the state of practice to help students maximize their potential for success.

BCIT’s automotive program is using a virtual paint system to teach the skill of painting vehicles without the use of paints. This effective classroom tool requires no solvents and eliminates volatile organic compounds from entering the atmosphere.
